What is the Difference Between a Pod System and a Pod Mod?
Pod vaping devices are very popular nowadays, with an abundance of products to choose from. Although different types of pods are often used interchangeably, they have important differences and distinctions, which need to be acknowledged.
Pod Systems – Pod systems are usually small and simple in design. They don’t have any settings to adjust, but are designed to guarantee the perfect puff by optimizing the battery output and atomizer coil to work together. Some pod systems come with a manual button to activate the unit, while others only require you to draw on the mouthpiece to take a hit.
Some pod systems come with atomizer coils that can be taken out and exchanged within the pod. Others don’t. If the coil has burnt out in the latter case, just throw away the whole pod and replace it with a new one.
Aside from being small, lightweight, and easy-to-use, another great benefit of pod systems is the ability to effortlessly swap between pods, thereby enabling you to alternate between various e-juices that you enjoy.
Pod Mods – Pod Mods are like standard or advanced personal vaporisers, offering a range of features such as adjustable wattage and voltage, battery level displays and screens. Unlike standard mods, which rely on cylindrical tanks, pod mods use square e-liquid reservoirs for operation. Similar to pod systems, the advantage is that the pods can be easily removed, enabling simple swapping between different flavours.
What is the Difference Between a Tank and a Pod?
Many new gadgets now come as pods. Pods are tiny, square-shaped containers that hold e-juice and have an atomizer coil inside. They are usually made of plastic and are very small. Certain pods allow you to replace the coil whenever needed, but others do not. Pods without replaceable coils are thrown away when the coil burns out.
Tanks are cylinders made of glass. They are bigger and longer than pods. Almost all tanks let you replace the atomizer coil after it burns out, though a few do not. Unlike pods, tanks need to be screwed into the battery unit, which makes swapping them harder.
